2025 NABT Professional Development Conference
When: Friday, October 31, 2025
Where: Union Station Hotel, St. Louis, Missouri
The proposal submission deadline is 11:59pm PST on Monday, June 30, 2025.
You are invited to submit a proposal to present your research in biology education at the 17th Annual Biology Education Research Symposium. Previous presentations have included case study research on teaching evolution, action research in a high school setting, and modeling in elementary students.
This is a refereed session to be presented at the 2025 NABT Professional Development Conference on October 31st, in St. Louis. All papers will go through double-blind review using the Reviewer Rubric. The format of the symposium will be a traditional presentation of papers by individuals or co-authors lasting 15 minutes each (with five minutes for Q&A). Reviewed proposals will be published as proceedings on the NABT website.
Proposal Guidelines
Reviews will be guided by the following criteria:
The proposal submission deadline is 11:59 PST on Monday, June 30, 2025.
Blind submission review will take place in July and early August, with final selection made by late August 2025. All presenters are required to register for the NABT Conference, and accommodations will be made to allow for the early discounted registration rate. Minor corrections to submissions can be made after acceptance. Proceedings from past years are below
The Annual Biology Education Research Symposium is sponsored by the NABT Four Year College & Univeristy Section’s Biology Education Research Committee.
