The NABT Conference will take place in person at the Hyatt Regency Dallas - Reunion Tower from October 29 - November 1, 2026.
We are committed to hosting the safest meeting possible and require all attendees to comply with the NABT Meetings Safety & Responsibility policy.
Registration for the 2026 NABT Professional Developement Conference will open in the spring. You must have a valid registration to attend the conference and order tickets for special workshops and events. All attendees will be required to comply with the NABT Meetings Safety & Responsibility policy.
Early-bird Registration Ends on July 31, 2026
Advance Registration Ends on October 22nd, 2026
If you must cancel for any reason, please notify NABT in writing by October 17. A $15 handling fee will be assessed for all refunds. Refunds after October 17 may be approved with additional fees applied. Registration fees for program presenters are not refundable at any time.

NABT attendees can receive a special room rate of $225/night plus tax. Rooms must be booked by October 6, 2026 to receive this rate. If you are making a reservation over the phone, be sure to mention that you are part of the NABT Conference to receive the discounted rate.

The NABT Conference always features engaging speakers who will leave you excited to teach biology and life science. We look forward to introducing you to this year's speakers.
The NABT Professional Development Conference will begin Thursday morning with workshops, education sessions, and field trips, followed by the opening session speaker scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM on Thursday, October 29th. Educational sessions will be scheduled all day on Friday, October 30th, and the morning of Saturday, October 31st.
Please plan your travel accordingly.
The NABT exhibitors highlight their latest resources for your classroom. Meet publishers, manufacturers, software developers, non-profit partners, and other organizations that have tools and resources to enhance your teaching.
The NABT Professional Development Committee will review submissions, and acceptance notifications will be emailed to primary presenters around May 30, 2026. Upon acceptance, all session presenters must register before July 1st for their session to be included in the 2026 Conference Program. Please contact all co-presenters before you submit to make them aware of this requirement.

PLEASE NOTE: Sessions that promote a saleable product, program, or service must be conducted as an exhibitor workshop. In order to submit an exhibitor workshop, the organization must be exhibiting at the conference.

We invite you to submit a proposal to present your research in biology education at the 18th Annual Biology Education Research Symposium. Previous presentations have included case study research on teaching evolution, action research in a high school setting, and modeling in elementary students.
This is a refereed session to be presented at the 2026 NABT Professional Development Conference on October 30, 2026, in Dallas. All papers will go through double-blind review and the format of the symposium will be a traditional presentation of papers by individuals or co-authors lasting 15 minutes each (with five minutes for Q&A). Reviewed proposals will be published as proceedings on the NABT website.
The NABT Four-Year College & University Section and Two-Year College Section invite you and your students to present your work in research and teaching at the NABT Biology Education Poster Session. Posters presented by students are eligible for two competitions.
