NABT President-Elect Lindsey (Carter) Fields was aboard American Airlines Flight 5342, traveling to represent the National Association of Biology Teachers (NABT) and advocate for excellence
in life science.
Lindsey's infectious smile and boundless love were limitless. Her passion for science was matched only by her love for her family, friends, and Great Danes. Her impact as a teacher, mentor,
and friend is immeasurable.
To honor her memory and continue her legacy of love and learning, her family is establishing the Empower Future Scientists Science Scholarship. This scholarship will empower future scientists to pursue their dreams, just as Lindsey inspired us all to chase ours.
With permission from her family, NABT will also establish an award in Lindsey's honor, and you can designate a donation to NABT towards this effort at NABT Donations.
