The details related to COVID-19 are rapidly changing, making it especially challenging to get accurate and reliable information. NABT greatly appreciates your
efforts to bring science-based information into your classrooms. Biology teachers all over the world are using and sharing COVID-19 focused resources to teach about life science topics. As we
learn more about this pathogen, your expertise will continue to play an integral role in educating students and their families, ultimately helping communities stay healthy.
We also recognize that COVID-19 will influence your own choices, both personally and professionally. Registration for the NABT
Professional Development Conference will open in a few weeks, and with the conference being eight months away, we plan to proceed as normal. Be assured that the health and safety
of our community are paramount, and NABT leaders and staff will continue to monitor this evolving situation in order to make informed decisions as we get closer to November.
Although the impact of this outbreak is impossible to predict, scientists, health workers, and public officials are already making progress on understanding COVID-19. We are
optimistic that their efforts will lead to a more positive outlook in the weeks and months ahead.
We look forward to sharing updates regarding the 2020 NABT Conference as they become available, and please do not hesitate to
contact the NABT Office at office@nabt.org or (888) 501-NABT should you have any additional questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
