Thanks to the generous support of a member donor, NABT is offering two new opportunities to support teachers attending the NABT Conference for the first time.
First-Timer Fellows
Open to K-12 teachers who would like to attend the NABT Conference in Indianapolis, the fellowship includes registration and a one-year membership to NABT. Ten First-Timer Fellowships are available and will be awarded on a first-come basis.
Required application materials include:
Professional profile or current CV.
Short essay (< 1000 words) describing the importance of professional development and how the opportunity to attend the NABT Conference will impact your practice as an educator.
Include a brief explanation of how this support will make your participation possible.
Letter of support on school letterhead and signed by an administrator/supervisor indicating support to attend the conference from November 10-13, 2022. Sample language is below:
I support the participation of [NAME OF TEACHER] at the NABT Professional Development Conference being held November 10 - 13 in Indianapolis,
Indiana.
The mini-grants will cover conference registration and up to $500 reimbursement support to attend the NABT Conference for the first time. Three mini-grants are available to educators at all
levels (K-16) and can be used to cover subs/TAs, childcare, travel costs, or other related expenses.

Professional profile or current CV.
Short essay (< 1000 words) describing how attending the NABT Conference will support your professional goals.
Brief description (< 500) about how meeting your specific need is necessary for you to participate in the conference.
Applications for the mini-grants are due on August 5th.
